This wonderful castle is located in the town of Zoagli, in a dominant position overlooking the sea, and is renowned not only locally for the organization of events such as weddings, with a maximum capacity of up to 280 guests, but also for the possibility of exclusive stays in a dream location, surrounded only by the gentle sound of the sea.
The property has several entrances.
Entering from the village through a pedestrian entrance, one encounters a greenhouse located in the private courtyard, currently equipped and used as a professional kitchen, ideal for hosting events with many guests; the greenhouse has a large outdoor gazebo in a courtyard overlooking the Gulf of Levante and the Portofino promontory.
Entering the castle from the courtyard, one encounters a marble-floored lobby, a bathing area (for guests), the wonderful indoor double hall (which accommodates up to 130 diners), and goes directly to the kitchens overlooking the outdoor greenhouse. A staircase leads to the Saracen Tower that connects to the gazebo. The Saracen Tower features unique ribbed ceilings and antique details.
Through a staircase we reach the second floor, located at the height of the parking lots, in which we find 3 bright and spacious living rooms and a beautiful double-sided fireplace. At the height of the parking lots we have the entrance to the first apartment, arranged as follows: bedroom with en-suite bathroom, living room with sea view and kitchen, service closet, pantry, additional bathroom.
The service space can easily become a small studio apartment with bathroom and sea view.
Continuing the staircase we go up to the third floor, where there is the Apartment named “of the Duchess.” Here there is a bright double living room, a service area, a fireplace, and the 3 characteristic rooms currently used for living rooms, all with air conditioning. The rooms are each unique: the “Portofino” room is the most prestigious, with a direct view of Portofino, 5-square-meter high ceilings, and an en-suite bathroom; the “Cypresses” room with an en-suite bathroom and a view of the green tree-lined garden; and the “Wisteria” room, delightfully furnished and with an en-suite bathroom.
In addition to the rooms, there is a large space currently used as a service area, accessed by a short basement staircase, composed as follows: entrance hall, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom.
In front of the Duchess’s apartment, from the common atrium, there is access to the “Penthouse” apartment, which is composed as follows: living room and charming kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, small bedroom, wonderful small balcony overlooking the garden in which there is a fountain and a working waterfall, with water pump. Returning to the parking area, continue and descend a little to reach the wonderful garden currently used for “cutting the cake”, overlooking the sea, from which you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets. From here inolte, through a gate, there is direct access to the sea promenade and the sea, and you reach the bathing establishments and a restaurant set in the rock.
Zoagli is a very charming village located in the Tigullio Gulf, between Chiavari and Rapallo about 30 kilometers from the city of Genoa.
It is a very popular destination and attracts tourists from all parts of the world.
The history of this pearl of the Ligurian Riviera is linked to the excellence of the famous silk mills that, over the centuries, have made this city one of the most important textile producers in Europe, with an extraordinary production of silk fabrics.
Its scenic beauty characterized by rocks, sea and breathtaking vistas is what makes it so fascinating along with its ancient seafaring traditions, particularly the feast of the Madonna of the Sea, a bronze sculpture that is located almost three meters underwater and is celebrated every year with a dive by divers to lay a laurel wreath on it.
Zoagli also lends itself greatly to hiking enthusiasts, offering beautiful walks such as “The Five Bell Towers” so named because it connects five different churches in a scenic and nature trail.
